  1. Pushups have little to do with drawing a bow, sit-ups strengthen the core. While this may not achieve the weights published. I would look at the accuracy of the bow scale and the fact that you are drawing from a single point rather than 3 fingers. Using a traditional 3 finger pull might increase those weights a bit. Flies are for pecs, rowing would be a better exercise for drawing.

  2. Rows are the pulling motion, or even rear delt raises. 90% of the time when someone is talking about flies (or flyes) they're in reference to a chest exercise.
