Attleboro's Open Singles Horseshoe Tournament



squash on the recreation director here in the city of Attleboro this is our annual singles horseshoe tournaments held the first Wednesday in June every year then the doubles are held the first Wednesday in September and this year we have 12 people trying to qualify for the round-robin which will help for the eight top qualifiers and the guys really love playing in this tournament many of them have been around long before I got here speak to Larry Kip and some others Larry's been playing it for over 30 years back in the days when Fred Bartek really had horseshoes a good corner right here in the city we have new pitch here in south admiral last couple of two years I guess they've been here they will built a Boy Scout project and then the South out of reliance helped out well the labor etc so turned out the guys love to pitch their great pits and they get some heat sir and some water from us so they really have a great time very popular sport much more so than people think I know a lot of the guys go up to the national tournaments etc and do very well there Larry Kipp at least within a national champion for his age group right so it's got a beautiful night the rain finally cleared it's a beautiful night for horses
