  1. Biggest mistake I see other builders make is setting the hinge side on one post . I always build the hinge side off 2 post for extra support , basically taking half of the load . I also cut my gates out instead of building and attaching, but if it doesn’t fail and sag over time and your happy with it , that is all that matters . Thx for the vid.

  2. Why did you use a standard "untreated" 2×4? What tooth count did you use on your battery powered saw…

  3. If you mentioned this, I missed it: make sure the diagonal brace goes down toward the hinge side. You did it right, but people often do that wrong and then the brace is not doing much so the gate will sag.
