Rules/Licence
FIE rules apply and an International Licence must be held.
Uniforms
Uniforms must carry your national graphic as approved by the FIE, as well as athlete's name and three letter national code.
Insurances
Delegations are reminded that travel, property and health insurances are their own responsibility and are strongly recommended.
Equipment Control
Equipment control will be held on the mornings of 24 and 26 June. See the Schedule for details.
Visa
You will require a visa to enter Australia. Check with your travel agent.
Please note that delays in the issue of visas may be expected. We strongly advise all participants to apply for a visa at least 6-8 weeks in advance of their intended date of travel.
Visa details are as follows:
Subclass 976 - Visitor ETA (Electronic Travel Authority)
You can apply at participating airlines, travel agents or an Australian visa office overseas: http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/overseas/index.htm
Subclass 651 – eVisitor
You can apply online, free of charge, at: http://www.immi.gov.au
If you are not eligible for these visas you must apply for a Subclass 676 - Tourist Visa
For passport holders not from one of the EU or ETA-eligible countries, you can apply as follows:

- with your visa application charge of AUD$100.00

If you require a letter of invitation to assist with visa applications, please contact the Event Director. You must supply for each member of your delegation:
- FIE Licence number
- Country of passport
- Passport number
- Passport expiry date
- Current country of residence
- Date of birth
- Last name (as it appears in passport)
- First and middle names (in full)
- Gender
- Applicant contact details (ie. Email, telephone, address)
Currency
All major currencies and travelers cheques accepted at hotels.
NOTE: BANKS ARE NOT OPEN ON WEEKENDS - ATM are readily available.
Transport
Sydney is Australia's major international airport. We suggest that you book early as flights to Sydney are popular.
The Venue is just 100m from the Sydney Olympic Park railway station and accessible by Taxi. The airport train is from the airport to the Accor Hotels (see Accommodation) changing at Sydney's Central station.
