Crafts for Kids – Lucky Horseshoe Decoration

so you want to start by getting yourself an old horseshoe you have horses or know someone who does you can probably find some used ones laying around then get yourself some thin green ribbon starting on one side of the horseshoe leave the tail end on the back side and wind the green ribbon up around the top edge of the horseshoe then you just want to wind it right around that little tail in the back and that will hold it in place and then you'll just keep going winding the ribbon right around the horseshoe you want your winding to be about an inch apart on each one and it helps a little bit if you use your pinky to just hold your winding on the back so that doesn't move while you're trying to wind it so just take that all the way up to the top of the other side and wind it around the back and cross it in front and then you just take the next one around the back and cross it in front you end up making X's all the way down you want to keep going all the way back around the horseshoe with the X's and flip it over pull out the little tail and then just tie it off into a knot and just cut off the excess ribbon and flip it back over next get yourself some shamrock ribbon and you just want to take the ends and tie that in a knot on one side of the horseshoe about an inch down from the top or somewhere in there and then just cut it off it's about a foot and a half long and do the same thing on the other side cut it off about a foot in half long then take both ends of the shamrock ribbon you just want to tie a shoelace bow about halfway down the ribbons just your normal double loop shoelace bow and make sure your loops are good and tight and that will also serve as the hanger for your horseshoe and so here is he finished lucky horseshoe
