Equestrian Helmet Cover / Horseback Riding Helmet Cover. Brim Demo.

hi this is Rhonda Freeman baka design today I'm going to show you how to add the brim or peak section to your horseback riding helmet cover to begin we're going to start by working a standing double crochet in the first skipped stitch from the main hat so locate that first skip stitch and work a standing double crochet into it you can replace that with a slip stitch chain 3 if you prefer and work one double crochet into each of the remaining skipped stitches from the hat at the end of the row you will have 14 double crochets and as you can see at the end to find the last stitch you can check to see where your next double crochet and the row is worked and then make sure you don't work when into that as well or it will be too large make sure you have your 14 double crochets then chain three and turn your work for this section of the project the chain three is counting as one double crochet work one double crochet into each of the 14 double crochets across making sure to work one double crochet into the last one of the row who is either you're standing double crochet or you're chain three now find the next stitch on your main hat and slip stitch into that chain when in turn work one single crochet into each stitch across skip over those slip stitches we're not working into them you'll have 14 single crochets at the end of the row find the next stitch on the Hat and slip stitch to join chain 1 and turn your work and work one slip stitch into each stitch across and then slip stitch into the next stitch on the hat chain one to finish off and weave in your ends the Bremen Piet cover is what keeps the helmet cover from sliding off the hat when you're wearing it so it's quite important to the pattern I hope you found this tutorial helpful for more free tutorials please subscribe to my youtube channel and visit my website for more free patterns thanks and have a great day
