Flight Training Solo Circuit

hospital hotel Bravo Sir John is at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Britannia 1.5 about to turn right down with work hard all right we got Ben's first solo landing nice congratulations yeah he's close we should be able to get around this make sure you keep the brakes on now so that we can we didn't get around here when we need to power off just a little bit there okay after star please leave one inch electric if it's radio on my transponder on yeah what instruments I wasn't running today so nobody nobody adjusted punishment I said Roger Roger Roger Roger Roger ROG ROG that's we used to say the railway garage yes bring Jack alright so let's do the break jack with the rudder to the right all right let's just go nice and slow here make sure we get a count started controls back see how sharp a good turn yes you can watch the shadow good nice that was what closer that was it's our back check the brakes check both both brakes good feels good all right good all right we can keep doing our keep taxi to our drunks we're going to three two right that would be the one yes that would be the one we're going to we are going over point is gonna be the intersection for the runway so we don't get off the ground by then we'll come to a complete stop if we have an engine failure below circuit altitude we will land straight ahead and set for 60 both set for 60 knots and land straight ahead yeah avoiding obstacles we're laying on the runway if it's there if it's available okay if we have a circuit we have a problem we have an engine failure above circuit altitude we will try to make it back to the closest runway that weekend yeah city Chris 60 as well the only thing you could add it was that was fine the only thing you could add in is just to save it if we're not airborne by the runway intersection will actually abort the takeoff or so you said stop straight ahead which is fine but abort their takeoff little old Woollett board to take off and stop that's good good job man that's fine I got to take off time and everything else you need that you get and do all that okay let's face that way so we can see that no we're not in anybody's way good and you can make the radio call when you're ready that goes off yeah he's off see me throwing to traffic Bravo Charlie go back to taking off runway three-two circuit good so no brakes your feet down on the floor yep good big it lined up do the lineup Chuck's which is just runway three two right three two three two three two okay so set yourself I don't know if I've shown you this I try to you know do things every time right three three two runway three-two they're three – they're on your head a little smoother choked a little bit right so just yeah I think I heard okay see you have a seatbelt outside so keep going we're gonna get that you know maybe in the air we'll get that 50 knots rotate yeah pretty sure it's yours yeah okay so we'll get up to a decent height here I have control I'd like you to open your door and pull the seatbelt in okay it's not gonna be easy to open it it's easy to open oh is it closer seatbelt it okay yeah sometimes you come here trying to run up something up you can okay so I'm not gonna say anything unless I have to I want you to do everything like normal turned your yeah that's fine make your turn to an office Bob so your normal speeds normal flap settings all that stuff nice work left up down so what speed do you think would be good for 20 on the approaches man they approach yeah sixty-five good you could do 60 but 65 good let's do 60 that's a good idea the nice thing about sixty-five is with twenty flops that give you a bit more nose down attitude if you're sixty you can the plate safe at 60 so it's twenty plus you're just gonna be a little bit nose up and you're not gonna get as good a visibility right so sixty five is fine just you just you really don't want to touch down at seventy it's just fast you know what I mean so trying to try to hold 65 when we let you get us down the center line always on the center line I will call the touch I will call to go you just keep us control don't put the power in until I tell you 2,400 for the west of the field you need a tiny bit of right rudder just hold it put the regulator in a little bit hold it there that's good for that better there you you let go that rudder hold the flare see how now we're straight hold that good all right little go pops up and go pop something go nice nice on the center line that's good job man yeah so just uh maybe he had to go for a smoke I can't if you get us all to smoke around like the outside we'll get somebody sold I sure where to go the way that I think I learned a little bit look at the control column and this look at this bar and if this bar looks like it's straight down the runway even if it's to the left of center that's what you know you're straight right because the nose can be deceiving because it look at you look inside it's like pointed a little bit right so it could be a little deceiving to try to look at this maybe and see if that points if that looks like it's straight there's no Victor's turning final runway thank you and your offside sideways just a little bit a little bit of right rudder would helped that's fine good go pops up go keep on the centerline better better pull that letter in good job yeah so just a little bit of right rudder or to help that try to try to it's it's hard I want you to focus on the approach but when you looked at when you look down at the runway try to try to make a quick reference at this see how straight it looks versus the runway it's not an easy thing to see but you're gonna do that when you're solo it's just just some learning you can do I mean punching down like that isn't gonna kill anybody but the smoother you are the better pilot you're gonna be right so yeah so just yeah just work on getting a little bit as well I mean try to look reference this it's not the easiest reference but it's all we've gone on that's straight and look down the runway and if it looks like it's kind of it's just gonna look slightly off it's not gonna look major it's just gonna look slightly off and then just add a little redder to correct watch your speed damnit the nose up a little more and just hold it there just hope I'll slow down for him all right don't lose track of what we're doing here go into traffic Robert Charlie go back to turning final runway 3 to touching go so let's try it I'd keep keep a little more power let's try to touch down a little bit later you'll see all right it's hard to eat for a spot further down because you know I always want to touch down early right we have so much runway right here here is where I start staring at number songs yeah I don't stare further than the numbers that first taxiways like way past that okay more power let's touch down further more power you get some buff but you have lots of time to stable your stabilize yourself out let's good keep keep that power on for a second and now you can reduce it there you go get yourself stabilized see how nice is this oh yeah it's a lot less right you can still get a couple but there you go look at that look how much time you had to stabilize yourself looks like you're nice and straight now good job easy hold it okay good alright we'll get off at the next we'll get off of the next one there whatever wherever the next one is get married it's alright pull onto the taxiway in front of the flight school there go a little ways down there and stop and do your checks when you're gone Bravo Julia whiskey Radio check echo Tucker my track looks good the guy over crackers a little bit all right god this guy turn it down window it today we're gonna turn just a wee bit early thank you 20 degrees less power we're gonna try to be a little bit later mind a little bit later [Applause] burlington traffic you lost your victor standing clear of the active I think I could period here right down with you willing to trap the firm to try to get back clear my way three two Jacqueline Eide responsibility to fill out optometry to a lot of my face for three for now okay because it man down one no I didn't I don't mind it okay after landing frontal 900 about 900 carpet is in black tie retracted unnecessary electrics on standby off landing time 'god lean one inch get rid of the thousand-foot instruments are set yes looks right okay but instruments are set primers lock masters on major Bowes circuit breakers are all in car Petey's Coldfield fuel it's full rich deal selectors horizontal and on trim we do not need flaps or sorry trim is set and takeoff position and Trent flaps we do not need controls feel nice and free ' for me don't need takeoff briefing if we have an engine failure or our gold elbow points gonna be the intersection for runways if we don't get off the ground by that time will abort the takeoff if we have an engine failure below else circuit altitude we're gonna stop for 60 knots and land straight ahead or land where we can't most beauitful a fake get up there they'll go right turn out passing 1,500 climbing mm II found engine failure below as best as possible in the event of emergency I will have control keep your hands and feet away from the controls all right that's done takeoff time we don't need instruments our sets looking good bites on transponder on altitude okay let's get out of here do a look out okay okay this one's gonna be a little better okay there we go set my pitch I'm gonna give him just a wee bit more space the instruments are set okay I don't see anybody else so let's go No compelling to traffic Bravo Charlie go back rolling three two circuit full stop there we go that's much smoother all right cool forty knots instruments or the green airspeed is alive 50 rotate and she is flying but in front of me names like he might do it all right as 14:50 surrounding out feel secure it's the same guy and and cockeyed on face okay though we're looking for 70 so we'll go to there's my 70 all right hold this nice and slow we're gonna be talking over the barn is getting perfect like to traffic Roberto we three to pull stop all right that's my 65 I'll hold that 65 right there get off the rudder
