  5. Thanks for posting this video!  Question about building something similar, but bigger:  If I wanted to make a 10 foot by 9 foot by 6 foot similar enclosure out of PVC and chicken wire, would that be too big? Would the PVC droop in the middle and need to be supported by more PVC, maybe halfway?

  6. This is a great idea! I like the Lamborghini Garden Doors you made. Gonna use this idea in my backyard garden. Thanks for sharing your video and knowlege.

  7. Thank you for this. Using these same materials to make a fake chain link fence for my Halloween display, Exactly what I needed.

  8. This is just what I needed to help me plan my own enclosure for my community garden plot. although I'll have to put chicken wire on the top as well. They say rabbits and squirrels are the biggest problem here. Thanks so much for posting this!

  9. For everyone looking for a "how to" video, this is really simple to make.

Measure how long and wide your garden is, and figure out how tall you need it to be. From there you can calculate how much pipe you need. Then you can see in the video they used elbow brackets to connect the pipes together. If you go to Home Depot or Lowes, they'll have the brackets right next to the pipes, so just find the ones that fit the pipes you buy.

Then it's just running the chicken wire around the box and zip typing it in place. I can't tell if they screwed the steel hanger strip to the wood frame of their garden or not, but they probably did, so just run the steel over the pipe so it forms a U, and screwed it into the wood from both sides. Or, you can buy small hinges that will screw into both the wood and the PVC.

  10. Thanks a lot for giving this wonderful idea of vertical pivoting. That's exactly what i was looking for, i.e. how to easily open and close my fence. In our yard there are bigger animals which I believe will figure out to lift the fence on one end enough to crawl under, so I'll add some sort of fastener on other ends as well.

  11. Would you guys mind providing the materials and specs on the fence. I plan on giving this a try in the next few weeks and let you know how it worked out. Best idea on YouTube!

  12. Cool video. Looking to start a fruit and vege garden this coming Spring. We've had problems with birds eating our berries and some animal eating our tomatoes and green beans. This looks like the perfect design to keep my plants safe. Thanks for the idea.

  13. That is great. squirrels are my problem. so I would have to add the chicken wire I on top. Thank you
