this stanford soccer club video will go over how to line a field to get started first move the handle of the field liner from the storage position to the upright position tighten the wing nuts on both sides to secure the handle in place and make sure that the bolt on each side is properly positioned in its slot before tightening take a can of white field marking paint and shake it for a few seconds make sure you hear the ball rattling inside the can before you mount the paint can onto the field liner check the slot where the nozzle will go if there is any dried caked on paint remove it with a screwdriver mount the paint can onto the field liner fitting it into the clips that will hold it in place make sure the long sides of the paint cam nozzle are lined up parallel with the slot on the liner now you are ready to line the field operating the field liner is simple you just press the handle to release the paint to make a line press the handle while walking with the field line line the field by retracing the existing lines on the field walk with both feet on one side of the line don't straddle the line that will help you avoid stepping on the wet paint on sunny days avoid walking with the Sun in your face that can make it hard to see the field lines instead walk with the Sun at your back for the corners you can either use the field liner or line them manually depending on the size of the field lining one field should take about three to five cans of paint let's review the main points put the field liner in the upright position and tighten the wing nuts mount the paint can correctly walk on one side of the lines don't straddle them and walk with the Sun at your back enjoy lining the fields and thanks for helping out time to quit
