Walnut Wood Letter Openers – Woodturning, Woodworking

While the glue was drying on other projects… Stupid flies, buzz off! As I was saying, as the glue was drying on
other projects, I took some time to make these two letter openers. I thought they turned out kind of cool. They were just a couple of scraps of walnut
that I had lying around. They are made from pieces like this. Actually, this is an off-cut from this. I thought this was a cool transition between
the sap wood and the heart wood. I tried to incorporate that into these two
pieces. You can see the heart wood on this side and
sap wood on this side. This one, I put a layer of oil on it before
I finished it, so it is a little darker than this one. They are both finished with spray lacquer
as well. Anyway, that is just a quick video for you. Thanks a lot for watching. I will see you again soon with another cool
project from Cammie’s Garage.
